Betsy Boyce, DPT
Education
I have a bachelor of arts degree from Kalamazoo College in Michigan and a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Washington. I completed an Orthopedic Manual Therapy Residency at the Ola Grimsby Institute, where I am currently pursuing an Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellowship.

Continuing Education
I trained in bicycle fitting with Michael Sylvester, a nationally-recognized bicycle fit innovator based in Portland, Oregon. I also studied pregnancy and postpartum care at the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.

In the Practice
Although I treat a diverse patient population, my history as a spine patient has given me a particular interest in this area. The most satisfying part of my job is to assist people in returning to activities they love. I also enjoy performing bicycle fittings because they combine two of my favorite things: physical therapy and bikes. It is very satisfying to help someone feel better by making subtle adjustments to their body and their bike.

Family and Community
In addition to cycling, hiking, climbing, canoeing and backpacking, I enjoy learning about other cultures. I spent two years volunteering along the Thai-Burma border, and studied abroad in Ecuador and Japan. In my free time I like to visit new places, explore the outdoors, try new foods, and spend time with friends and family.
